Giving back to the community is a huge part of CrossFit, and this holiday season we have chosen to collect Christmas gifts for the Bridge Family Center of West Hartford, CT. The Bridge Family Center was founded in 1969 to meet the needs of West Hartford community youth who were engaged in high-risk behavior, especially substance abuse, and who were getting into trouble with the law. The Bridge Family Center is a comprehensive, regional nonprofit agency offering a broad range of services to children, youth, and families in the Greater Hartford area, with particular attention to serving those at risk. Their mission is to foster the courage and strength in children and families to meet life’s challenges and build fulfilling lives.
We have placed a few boxes for our donations at the gym. The Bridge Family Center has a “Christmas Wish List” of items they are in need of, which are listed out below. Please do NOT wrap your gift. Since there are multiple homes in which these donations will be going to, they need to dertermine what items are needed where. Also, please ensure all items are NEW, and not used. All donations are due in the boxes by Monday, December 15th in order to make the Christmas deadline. We will be hand delivering all donations in person to the Bridge Family Center. We would love it if you joined us to deliver these items. Delivery date TBD, however will most likely be Tuesday, December 16th, or Wednesday, December 17th.
Thank you all in advance. This is truly what the holiday season is all about.
